In celebration of Commonwealth Day 2023 on the 13th March, Consular Officer Brandon Sousa represented the Government of Bermuda at multiple events across Westminster to honour the contributions and shared values of 56 Commonwealth Nations.

Commonwealth Day 2023 began with the Commonwealth Flag Raising Ceremony in New Palace Yard, hosted by House of Commons Speaker, The Rt. Hon. Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP.

Following this, Mr Sousa observed the Commonwealth Day Service of Remembrance in Westminster Abbey, also marking the 10th anniversary of the Commonwealth Charter signed by Her Late Majesty the Queen.

The day concluded with the annual Commonwealth Day Reception for the diplomatic community at Buckingham Palace, where our Consular Officer had the opportunity to speak with His Majesty King Charles III about Bermuda.
